The University of South Bohemia has long been helping with the technical and personnel support of the event. A total of 41 students of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences were involved in the organisation of the race and provided medical service on the track. Future rescuers went to the event on bicycles and future physiotherapists provided the runners with massages in a tent on Přemysl Otakar II Square. The race also included an accompanying programme, which started in the morning and included the traditional offer in the tent of the University of South Bohemia, where experts from the Centre for Prevention of Lifestyle Diseases of the University of South Bohemia and students of Nursing offered athletes and interested members of the public advice on a healthy lifestyle with measurement of selected health values.

The main race of the 10th edition of the Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon attracted almost 2 500 runners, with a total of around 4 000 competitors taking part in all races during the day. The České Budějovice race has been awarded a five-star certificate by European Athletics and once again attracted hundreds of visitors to the start and many fans around the course as well.
