The band STO ZVÍŘAT was founded in 1990 and became a pioneer of the then almost unknown genres of ska and rocksteady. It was based on the wave of English bands like Madness, Specials or Selecters. In the post-revolutionary era, which favoured more underground bands, they came up with cheerful melodies, dance rhythms and extremely high quality lyrics by Tomáš Belk. With this cocktail, later supplemented by reggae or swing, they have been at the top of both the club and festival scene for 33 years. The nine-member band has performed more than 2400 concerts in the Czech Republic, the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Slovakia. They have 12 full-length albums to their credit and countless appearances on various compilations. He also regularly makes music videos, of which he has around twenty in his archive. In recent years, several outstanding young musicians have joined the band, bringing new energy. The band is probably in its peak form at the moment, as evidenced not only by the reactions of fans but also of professional critics.
